The Congress will be held at Universiti Sains Malaysia's main campus, Pulau Pinang. Please note that the Opening Ceremony will be held at Dewan Budaya Hall at the campus. Please refer to the Building Map below. You may refer to Room Locations directory below for venues of other activities.

Travelling to Pulau Pinang

By air. Penang International Airport (PEN) offers a great choice of airlines for routes across South East Asia and beyond. As of June 2018, the following airlines fly into PEN: AirAsia, AirAsia X, Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air, Firefly, AirAsia Indonesia, Cathay Dragon, China Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Citilink Indonesia, Jetstar, Lion Air, Lucky Air, Qatar Airways, Scoot, Silk Air, Sriwijaya Air, Thai AirAsia, and Thai Smile. There is also a direct flight from Kuala Lumpur (via Kuala Lumpur International Airport and KLIA2 (code:KUL) and Subang International Airport (code: SZB) which should offer you more choices if you're travelling from other countries.

By train. The ETS have scheduled daily trips connecting Butterworth (in the mainland) with major cities on the west coast of Malaysia like Alor Star and Bukit Kayu Hitam (at the north) and Taiping, Ipoh, and Kuala Lumpur (to the south). Should you take the ETS to Butterworth, you can reach USM Penang by taking the ferry, buses, or taxi.

By bus. If you're travelling from Kuala Lumpur, you can take buses from the bus terminal (TBS; Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) to Sungai Nibung Terminal or Penang Sentral. Other major cities in Malaysia also connects to the express bus terminals. From either terminal, you may connect with other mode of public transportation to the venue.

Public Transportation. You may choose to take bus services, taxis, or ride-share (mobile application: Grab) or to travel from airport, train station, or bus terminal to the conference venue and your choice of accommodations.

There are a lot of nearby hotels from which you can choose. In no particular order, these are some of the hotels near USM Penang (and no, we don't earn any commissions from the hotels).

On-campus Accommodation
